This part is the theoretical background to the results of the quantitative study, which were presented in the second part. The authors have reached their research goal – that was a positive verification of the following hypothesis: there is a possibility of adapting in convenience stores ICT-based solutions, which are now commonly used by larger format stores. Managerial implications and directions for future research were also discussed.
