My eureka optima upright bagless vaccum has VERY low suction using the floor part. The hose has excellent suction. I removed the little translucent door underneath and there were no blockages, i cleaned the brushroll thoroughly and that hasnt helped either. I know this probably isnt recommended but i turned it on to the floor setting with the brushroll off and stuck my fingers up the intake as far as i could, the suction was good further up but it just seems to stop down at the base. Because i s I will try and help here. Is the sole plate on the bottom of the vacuum complety on and there are no visible cracks along the seam where it meets the body? This is the usual cause for this.
